Shoe Tiles

In Indonesia millions of flipflops and shoes are washed to the beaches. All these are cut in pieces when collected during beach cleanups. We then melt them and create new materials for playgrounds.

Bottle Bricks

The GEA is focusing on energizing local and global plastic transition. Using the methodology of the bottle bricks, the Indonesian movement has continued to spread exponentially throughout the country through starter workshops, training of trainers, online trainer of trainers, and bottle brick convergences. Bottle bricks are building blocks created by filling used plastic bottles with plastic and other non-biodegradable waste. The bottles are filled to a fixed density and can be used multiple times. They are made by filling PET plastic bottles with cleaned and dried plastic waste.

Recycled fillament

To use 3-d printers. One has to buy pe- or pla-filament. Although the later is more sustainable, both are not the greatest for the environment. Thus I would like to develop a 3d printing filament which is 100% made out of recycled plastic. And this should also become a home recycling station. So I can recycle my own plastic. This my 3d printer becomes part of a circular loop.

Bags out of fruit waste

Fruit waste can be used for creating a material like transparent plastic. I want to use that to make new plastic bags that can be used several times and then go into your home composting. This way, there is no waste, but instead theses bags serve as nutrition for the compost and thus for the earth.

3R School

3R School Program (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) helps schools by encouraging increased awareness among the future generation about the application of the 3R principle- we create teaching material kits for Indian schools in remote areas to help to educate the children.

Waste4Change

Waste for Change is a social enterprise helping companies in Indonesia to find solutions to their waste problems through responsible waste management services.

Litter Traps

Before plastic or other waste enters the rivers we build litter traps made out of recycled ghost nets. But we want to hear from marine biologists what we could do better.

Areca leaf cups

Using leafs from trees that have to be cut anyway to make plates and bowls out of it. This most sustainable!
