To which topic does your idea refer?

Circular Economy

Describe your idea! How does it work to reduce / replace plastic? How will you involve others?

– Áak supermarket will be completely vegan, zero waste, local and it will be made with biomaterials and eco bricks.
– In this place we’ll have some rooms that will be used to educate people and show them how to make their own compost, garden, etc.
– We’ll also have a place where people can leave their fruits and vegetables residues, so that we can give it to a group that specializes in compost making.

Think bigger - What can you add to your idea to make it 1 million times more effective?

- All the energy of the place will be completely based on renewable energy (in the roof we’ll have lights half solar energy and half natural light, the water will be collected from the rain, etc.) - There will be a garden outside, which will have an orchard and a place where people can plant trees. - Well be recollecting the people's waste so we can send it to places that specializes in recycling or reusing (it includes plastic, technology, tetra pak, etc.). - In the supermarket there will be jars and reusable bags. - The low income people that live near the supermarket will have the possibility to have a piece of land with an economic price.

Effectiveness: How much plastic can be saved with your idea?

- It won't be necessary to create any waste in these place, because people will have the opportunity to bring their own jars and bags or buy them (if they bring the jars clean, they can have the money back) . - People can bring their own plastic that they have been recollecting, and everything will be used to recycle or reusing. - Not only will it save plastics, it will save all kinds of waste, including compost, food and energy.

Reach: How many people can be reached with this idea?

- Beside buying objects and food in bulk, the supermarket will also have learning rooms, and a garden where children can go out to play and everyone can harvest, so if at any time anyone wants to visit and lives far away they have the opportunity to go for more things than just a purchase. - The main step to reach people would be through social media. Today it is the place where people are most successfully reached

Implementation: What does it take to realize your idea or make it even more successful?

1. A closed place. 2. A open space. 3. Sustainable energy like solar energy, a filter for the rain, etc. 4. People that: - Know how to compost. - Recycle plastic, food residues. 5. Franchises. 6. An orchard. 7. Experts in every aspect of this place, so that they can give their clases and teach people how to go more green.

Sustainability - How sustainable is your idea? What are the benefits for the environment?

- The food and the stuff that we sell are all vegan and plastic free. - All the food comes from sustainable and organic places, and some of it will be from our own supermarket. - The place will be illuminated with solar energy when the sun goes down and with natural lighting when the sun comes out. - All the water is going to be obtained from the rain. - The people can bring the plastic waste that they have been recollecting and we'll send it to a place where it can be recycled or reused.
