NICK DE LA FORGE is Co-founder and Partner of Planet A – a newly formed investment company that focusses on impact companies to advance an economy that serves the people and the planet. Given his background in deep tech and engineering, Nick is focussing on startups aiming for groundbreaking technological advancements for the planet. At Planet A, Nick is leading the fundraising and networking efforts.

Sie ist die kreative Kraft hinter Durat Palace, einem preisgekrönten kreisläufigen Recyclingmaterial mit fester Oberfläche, das in Finnland hergestellt wird. Scheinbar unmögliche Ideen wandelt und destilliert sie, bis sie als umsetzbare, wertorientierte sowie nachhaltige Unternehmungen realisiert werden können.
TOM SZAKY is the Founder and CEO of TerraCycle, a global leader in the collection and repurposing of complex waste streams. TerraCycle operates in 21 countries, working with some of the world’s largest brands, retailers and manufacturers to create national platforms to recycle products and packaging that currently go to landfill or incineration. It is also the lead company in a new circular shopping platform called Loop that enables consumers to purchase products in durable, reusable packaging.
LUBOMILA JORDANOVA is the Founder and CEO of PlanA, a data-driven platform that helps companies reduce their environmental impact. Prior to PlanA, she worked in investment banking, venture capital, and fintech in Asia and Europe. She holds a Master in Management degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
STEFAAN DE WILDEMAN is a Chemical Engineer. He co-developed the Master “BioBased Materials” at Maastricht University, and launched strategic projects on new biobased building blocks at Maastricht University, Ghent University and KULeuven. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of B4Plastics designing novel polymeric backbones with the BioBased Building Block (B4) technology platform for functional applications from scratch. The company offers custom made oligomeric and polymeric material products with outcompeting eco-profile at an acceptable cost.
MAXIMILIAN GLAS is CEO and Founder of Less Waste Club, a creative mind, and an out of the box guy. During his time with an FMCG company, he realized that there must be other sustainable ways to meet the needs of everyday life. Said and done with some delay – He tries to make the world of everyday products more environmentally friendly.
LIVIA ZIMERMANN is the Co-Founder and CEO of Era Zero Waste. Before Era, Livia has developed 200+ personal care products, the digital strategy of billion-dollar FMCG brands. Furthermore, she has helped create the first green coffee marketplace and founded three businesses.
ADRIAN WONS is Co-Founder of Wagestolz. He will be taking the stage for „Applying moonshot thinking for bigger impact“.
SIAN SUTHERLAND is the Co-Founder of the global campaign organization A Plastic Planet. Igniting social change, creating brands, campaigns, and businesses with soul is Sian’s passion. Multi-award winner, including Female Marketer of the Year, CEW Achiever Award, Entrepreneur of the Year, and British Inventor of the Year; Sian is a serial entrepreneur with a varied background in advertising, Michelin Star restaurants, film production, skincare, and brand creation design agencies.
SEBASTIAN VETTER is the Co-Founder of Hacking Cultural Beliefs, a think tank specialized on radical innovation. Our cultural beliefs determine, and often limit, what opportunities we are able to see and realise. By questioning what everyone else accepts as given we can unlock our innovation potential, achieve radical innovation, and organisational change. KATHY WALKING is the Co-founder and Not-For-Profit Team Leader of Eco Femme. She moved from Australia to the international township of Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India in 1997. Eco Femme is a social enterprise that has helped make cloth menstrual pads „cool“ in India – ten years ago as a way of combining her passion for sisterhood, community, and the earth. When not busy with Eco Femme, she loves to spend time in nature. Her talk will be on „Seeing Red: Solutions to the Plastic Problem in Menstruation“.
MIKE BOYLE ist Dozent für Kreislaufwirtschaft an verschiedenen Universitäten in Österreich. Er ist überzeugter Frugalist und betreibt eine Website, um die Frugal Innovation Methoden zu verbreiten, also mit den gerade verfügbaren Mitteln nachhaltige und wertvolle Lösungen zu entwickeln. Neben der Open Education Initiaitve, die er auf Twitch veranstaltet, ist er außerdem Radiomacher (Moniker Radio Tipping Point) auf Radio Orange 94.0 Wien.
ANNELI ANGLAS RODRIGUEZ ist Designerin und arbeitet unter dem Leitsatz „Being green is not only for aliens“ mit neuartigen natürlichen Materialien. Für ihre Brand Onno Bruu entwickelt sie moderne Lifestyleprodukte. In ihren Design-Workshops lässt sie die TeilnehmerInnen erleben, wie man Bioplastik aus Milch herstellt oder was man aus Bakteriellem-Zellulose-Leder machen kann.
CONRAD DORER arbeitet für das Umweltbundesamt und beschäftigt sich mit nachhaltigem Konsum. Aktuell fokussiert er darauf, wie eine nachhaltige Gestaltung von Produkten und Dienstleistungen weiter gefördert werden kann. Seit 2016 koordiniert er im Ostseeraum das EU-Interreg-Projekt „EcoDesign Circle (4.0)„, in dem Designzentren und Unternehmen mit praktischen Methoden und Wissen befähigt werden, für Kreislaufsysteme zu designen.
ANTOANETA TICA ist bildende Künstlerin. Um ihre Besorgnis über Umweltprobleme zu verdeutlichen, wandelt sie Plastik, das künstliche Produkt aus Schadstoffen, in Objekte mit ästhetischem Wert um. So kann sie ihre Botschaft zum Schutz der Natur wirkungsvoll transportieren. Antoaneta promovierte in Bildender Kunst und unterrichtet am Fashion Department der Nationalen Universität der Künste in Bukarest, Rumänien.
JEFFREY BARBEE ist ein gefragter Autor und Filmemacher. Er ist Direktor und Gründer von Alliance Earth, einer unabhängigen gemeinnützigen Initiative und Direktor des Dung Beetle-Projekts. Seine Spezialität sind plattformübergreifende Multimedia- und Eventbasierte Projekte, die Kunst, Medien und Technologie zusammenführen, um das Bewusstsein für globale Umweltprobleme zu stärken. Er lebt in Johannesburg, Südafrika.
Prof. ANGELICA BÖHM leitet seit 2015 das künstlerische Forschungsprojekt „Transmediales Erzählen: Camilla Plastic Ocean Plan“ an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Mehr als 100 Studierende, Alumni und ExpertInnen sind darin involviert. Auf Basis der wissenschaftlichen Expertise der Projektpartner vom Alfred-Wegener-Institut Helmholtz Zentrum für Meeres- und Polarforschung Bremerhaven, wo man auf Plastikmüll in den Meeren spezialisiert ist, ist dieses Projekt Mind-Opener, Web-Ausstellung und Zukunftswerkstatt.
JOERG ALTEKRUSE ist ein bekannter Filmemacher und Produzent mit viel Erfahrung in Dokumentar-, Spielfilm- und Cross-Media-Kunst. Er gründete Youth4planet, um junge Menschen als kooperative Geschichtenerzähler und Veränderer zu befähigen, ihre Smartphones zum Filmen ihrer Aktionen zu verwenden.
