Describe your idea! How does it work to reduce / replace plastic? How will you involve others?

My idea is to set up a Gallery of Upcycled Plastic. My idea works to reduce on the large volumes of already accumulated plastic wastes through the production of art work and other plastic accessories.

Think bigger - What can you add to your idea to make it 1 million times more effective?

Recycling of plastic wastes to make more quality art work. This is best possible if I set up a workshop where recycling and upcycling takes place is possible. I will partner with local artists and creatives to create sustainbly produced products

Effectiveness: How much plastic can be saved with your idea?

Since it's artwork, it depends on the complexity of the art pieces. Anything is possible with art. Our set target will be not less than 100 plastics per art piece. The more art work I am able to make, the more plastic wastes are removed from the environment.

Reach: How many people can be reached with this idea?

Interms of employment, 5 individuals will be employed to work in the gallery whereas the number of workers in the workshop, artists and creatives is left open for free entry and exit

Implementation: What does it take to realize your idea or make it even more successful?

-recieving education and mentorship - partnering with artists -purchasing equipments -finances

Sustainability - How sustainable is your idea? What are the benefits for the environment?

Picking up plastic wastes helps to directly reduce on their number therefore their negative effects to the environment. Upcycling and recycling is a form of sustainable production. Reduces in soil infertility and pollution of soil, plants and water Gives back the land which would have been used for farming
