Netiquette of the Plastic (R)Evolution project

We have agreed on the following netiquette for communication on this website and on our social media channels.

1. respectful treatment

We write our articles in a friendly and fair manner and objectively based on proven facts. Therefore we expect our users to respect this and to pay attention to it in their comments or own posts.
We have agreed that all users of this website should refrain from personal attacks or arguments directed against individuals, i.e. not that no criticism is desired - but it's the sound that makes the music! We are aware that the plastic topic is very complex and very controversial, but let's discover solutions together and not force an opinion on those who think differently. Under no circumstances will we tolerate contributions that contain insults, personal attacks and improper statements or fake news. These kinds of contributions will be deleted by us or the respective platform operators will be informed. Authors can be blocked by us on this basis.

2. objectivity of the topics

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn contributions offer information about the Institute for Art and Innovation, its projects and its interdisciplinary work. We encourage criticism and controversial presentations with comprehensible justifications. However, we would like to point out that it is important to ensure that contributions are factual and constructive. If this is not respected, we reserve the right to remove contributions if necessary.

3. misuse

Even though we present many great role models and products, organisations and institutions or are associated with them in partnership, our channels do not serve as advertising space. We want to learn and know a lot, but if contributions do not have any reference to our project, they will be removed from our website.

4. pictures and quotations

We would be happy if your contributions are enriched with pictures or quotations. If you want to do so, please indicate the source and the corresponding authors. When posting pictures you must have the appropriate rights and be able to prove this. Links to external websites are possible.

5. responsibility

We take no responsibility for the contributions of the users of our website. The responsibility is taken by the respective person himself. The contributions posted on our site are also used to publish them in the social media channels. By uploading your contributions, you give us (Institute for Art and Innovation) the right to publish your contribution. This applies to any kind of contribution, be it for events, role models, competition entries or any other presentation like your profile on the supporters page.

6. protection of privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Information about addresses, phone numbers and private websites that you do not want to share are also not to be published on our site. It is also not allowed to publish personal data of third parties. We point out that the terms of use of the respective social platform apply and can be viewed on the Internet. More information about data protection under https://plastic-revolution.org/impressum

7. breaches of our netiquette

As the operator of all our communication channels (see above), we do not allow any violations of the netiquette listed here. We reserve the right to delete contributions at any time and, if necessary, without giving reasons, or to inform the operator of the social media platforms. By using this website and interacting on our social media channels, we assume that you accept these Netiquette guidelines as described here. Violations of the general rules, laws and regulations may lead to exclusion from the respective platform under certain circumstances and in serious cases may result in legal action being taken.

8. your questions

We are looking forward to your interest and would like to answer your questions. Please allow us some time to react to your contributions accordingly.
