Since 2011 EUCC - The Coastal Union Germany e.V. (EUCC-D) has been a voluntary actor in the flushing beach waste monitoring in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and regularly collects sea waste on the beach, often also with pupils, students and families. The association develops materials to raise public awareness and initiates projects on the topic of marine litter. Cooperation partners are the State Office for Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology as well as research institutions. Furthermore, EUCC-D participates in the nationwide Round Table on Marine Waste.
