The Dung Beetle Project

"Plastic is an unused commodity on the planet," says Jeffrey Barbee, one of the founders, "By making this plastic the fuel of the future, dung beetle technology is making this problem a solution.

Our Dung Beetle is a steel sculpture that contains a plastic gasification system. In the form of a beetle, the object transforms disposable plastics into energy. Disposable plastics that have never broken down, never biodegraded and never disappeared - our beetle eats them for breakfast.

The real dung beetles of the world take up all waste and turn it into something useful. They do a job that the rest of our global ecosystem depends on. Our system does that too!

With the dung beetle, the plastic-driven environmental and science education with our interactive performance phase is fun, fiery and unforgettable. It is a moving spectacle on wheels.
