Seit 2011 ist EUCC – Die Küsten Union Deutschland e.V. (EUCC-D) freiwilliger Akteur im Spülsaumstrandmüll-Monitoring in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und sammelt regelmäßig, oft auch mit SchülerInnen, Studierenden und Familien, Meeresmüll am Strand. Der Verein entwickelt Materialien zur Sensibilisierung der Öffentlichkeit und initiiert Projekte zum Thema Meeresmüll. Kooperationspartner sind das Landesamt für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Geologie sowie Forschungseinrichtungen. Darüber hinaus beteiligt sich EUCC-D am bundesweiten Runden Tisch für Meeresmüll.

]]> More responsible living is dedicated to the protection of the ocean and coastline from plastic and other pollutants through environmental education and art. We aim to harness the power of art to inspire innovative solutions to plastic pollution and positively impact both consumer and corporate choices. In other words, we make art to inspire action because education alone is not enough. We feel that if someone’s attention can be captured by art (that is made out of ocean plastic), then we have the opportunity to educate.
